International Cocktail Party

At speaking class, I introduced about myself in my class. We decided my country, job, hobby and dislike. I rolled dice, then my country was North America, job was firefighter, hobby was bird watching and dislike was bright light. These were my data. Now I will introduce about myself.

My name is Luis. I'm from North America. My job is firefighter. It's very hard job, because I run into fire to save many people. It's very hot! My hobby is bird watching. I'm tired because of my job. To watch bird, it makes me relaxing. I dislike bright light, because it is troble to watch birds. So I wear sunglasses.

After school, I played a catch with my friends. It was first time to play a catch at this semester. One of friends belonged to baseball club when he was high school student. Another friend belong club team now. So they are good at playing a catch. Today's temperature and weather was good to play. We sometimes play it at school or park. I chose Storm Castle, because the illustration looks like interesting. It was written by Roderick Hunt, and Alex Brychta. The story is about computer game's content. One of boys play the game. Suddenly other boys were taken game's world by magic key. It can take many adventures. They arrived front of castle. In the world there are some robots and monsters. They attacked to boys, but they could run away. One of boys wanted to meet monster. They could get along with the monster. The monster told how to go through a maze. Finally they could escape the adventure. I recommend this book, because it's exciting book. You can feel the exciting story. I want to go adventure by the magic.

Essay 2-01a my comfortable room

I'll introduce about my favorite place. I have some favorite places, but I chose my room as a favorite place. When I was an elementary school's fourth grade, I had own room. First, I didn't want to own room, but I had own room somehow. The beginning, I was afraid to sleep alone. So I listened music when I slept. I got used to sleep alone, the room was one of my favorite place.

My room locates second floor in my house. Next room is my sister's room. First floor is my grandparent’s house. Actually, my house is two family houses. My house doesn't have many rooms, but my grandparents house has two empty rooms. So my parents decided grandparent's house's second floor as my room.

To go my room, I go to my grandparent's house, go up stairs, and go straight. It is my room. The door was old, so I changed the door. So exterior looks like new room. There is a small window by door. The corridor's floor is old and discolor. But the color is interesting.

My room's interior is simple. Wall's color is like beige, curtain's color is green. I think it's very simple interior. I put book shelf, piano, chest of drawers, desk, chair and piano. I don't put any dressing up's things. In fact, I wanted to change my room's interior, but I didn't do it. It was expensive for me.

My room's atmosphere is comfortable. The wall's color is like beige, curtain's color is green, so I stay there in calm. When my friends come to my room, they said "comfortable" to me. It is words of praise for me. I also feel comfortable and also my friends fell comfortable. So I think the atmosphere is good.

There are many interesting things for me. For example, there is a electric piano. Piano is my favorite thing in my room. I like to play piano, so I can play piano whenever I want to do it in my room. It's one of reason why I decided to my room as a favorite place. There is a chair, it's my favorite chair. I always sit down the chair.

As you can see, my room is comfortable. When I stay my room, I feel comfortable. There are many interesting things for me. When I stay there, I can reach something that I want. That's why I decided my room as a favorite place. If you come my room, you will think the room is comfortable and good.

after driving school

Yesterday I hung out with my friend. In fact I wanted to go downtown, but I went to driving school. When I finished school, The time was PM7:30. If I went to downtown, many shops would close. I changed plan, we ate Udon nearby his house. The shop is very popular. If you go to there at lunch, the shop will crowd. The food is very delicious. Then we went to used clothes shop. I watched many clothes, I found some good clothes, but I didn't buy them, because it were used clothes. But those were expensive. That's why I didn't buy those clothes. I want to clothes and shoes now!

Hang out

My friend invited to hang out with exchange students. When I finished driving school, I went to there with my friend. I was nervous to meet them. There are exchange students who come this summer vacation. I met them, they are kind. They are Canadian exchange students. Surprisingly, they are not Canadian. They are from China and Thailand. They go to Canadian university as a Chinese and Thailand's students, furthermore they come Kumamoto university as a Canadian exchange students. I think they are excellent! They are wise so they can come this university as a exchange students two times. We went to "cybac". We sang songs, played billiards. I had never played billiards, Canadian exchange student told me how to play it. He is good at playing it. First, I couldn't hit the ball, gradually I could hit the ball. It was fun but difficult for me. Then we went to game arcade to take pictures. After that, we went home. I could talk with new exchange students. I'm looking forward to meet them next time.

Change my timetable and play a catch

I went to school with my friend to change my timetable. I would go school on Tuesday, but I had driving classes tomorrow. So I decided to go school on Monday.
I wanted to add two classes. I added Japanese classical reading classes. There were a lot of students. After that we started to play a catch. These days I often play a catch with my friend. When I started to play it first, I became less capable. Now the feeling is better than before. We hadn't spoken during summer vacation, so we spoke about many things. We played a catch for 1 hour. My favorite shoes are CONVERSE. When I was high school student, I bought it. But I didn’t wear it when I went to school. The color is beige. I like the shoes's lace. Originally, the lace's colors were like beige. But I wanted to change the color, so I bought six laces. The color are blue, red. This shoes are popular, a lot of people have it, so I wanted to change it something. To change it, I like it more. The shoes are easy to match clothes. It is a reason why it is my favorite shoes. The shoes become dirty, I wash it with my hands. So I am attached to the shoes. Now the shoes is old a little. I hesitate that to buy new one or not.

Yesterday I had a drinking party at my friend's house. When I finished my part time job, I went to my friend's house. We hadn't met long time, so we talked about many things. First we went to Hilose and SUNNY to buy liquor and foods. We didn't want to cook so we bought ready made foods. Then another friend came his house. He also had part time job. When we arrived his house it passed PM8:00. We were very hungry. Immediately we started to eat. We cooked Chinese fried rice and tofu. I work at wedding place as a bartender, so I made cocktails, and we drunk a lot. One of friends wanted to eat ram en, so he cooked it. But he poor ed many water, because of it, the taste was thin. We laughed about it. We talked long time, then we lied down at AM4:30. We were so sleepy, we could sleep at soon. One of friend had part time job, so he left his house. Then we cooked the ram en as a breakfast. I cared about the volume of water. The taste was good. We would go to karaoke, but it was raining, so we stopped to go. The rain stopped, I left his house. We are going to karaoke next time. I spent fun time with them.

I took test for temporary car license. I went to driving school at AM8:40. First I had a class for the test's explanations. I rode the car 2ND. I waited for my turn. I was so nervous. I wanted to ride it as soon as possible. Then my turn was coming. Maybe I could ride it well. We gathered class room to listen the result. I could pass the test! I was so grad. Next I had writing test. The test was not difficult. I also passed the test. After all, I drove car on the road. It was first time for me to drive on the road. In fact, I have moped's license, so it was not nervous for me, rather it was fun! I could only ride car in school, but now I can ride car on the road. I didn't like to ride in school, but I'm looking forward to ride it now!

I went to karaoke with my friend last month. He is also English major. It was first time to meet him during summer vacation. He was thinner than before. I said him to eat more. He lives at dormitory now, he didn't eat a lot, and he would go back to
his house. Maybe his mother cooked many dishes for him. First we went to McDonald to eat. Then we went to karaoke. I like his singing. He is very well to sing. I'm effected by him for songs. He knows many songs. For example, I sing old songs, some of friends don't kinow them, but he knows them. I can sing old songs when I go to karaoke with him. We sang there for about 2 or 3 hours. I want to go karaoke with him again!

Last month, I went to supermarket to buy foods for my lunch. When I was been back to my home, I came across to my friend, so I invited him to eat lunch at my home. I would cook Japanese taste pasta. I'm not good at cooking, so my friend worried about the lunch. I found the difficulty to cook again. I fried mushrooms bacon and asparagus. First, I fried bacon. Next I fried mushrooms and asparagus. Then bacon was burnt a little. I should fry it the end. I learned the order. Anyway, I finished to cook it. We ate it, the taste was so-so. I felt that something is
missing for the pasta. I found it needed butter. I took many mistakes, but I could learned many things. I may cook well it next time.

English major student "Misa-san" was going to go to Canada, so we held good luck drinking party. We went to tavern where is her and her friend's place of part time job. Thanks for them, we could order and eat a lot. 1 years ago, I often went to English lounge. She and I knew there since we often talk. Her English skill is very high! As if she was foriegner. I haven't seen that she troubled about speaking English when she talked with exchange student. But I know she studies hard. She went to English speaking school, because to development her speaking skill. I think to go abroad to study, it is nature for her. I'm sure her English skills will deveolopment better than before. 生日快楽！

The title meaning is "happy birthday" in Chinese. In August, I went to dorm with my friends to say happy birthday for Chinese exchange student. We bought cake for her. She became 22 years old the day. We ordered chef to write "生日快楽" at chocolate. It well done. I went to there by moped. My friend went to there by foot, so he brought the cake to dorm.

We arrived there, we opened the cake! Unfortunately, half of the cake broke. Maybe he swung the cake while walking. There was no words. We didn't show the words, but she delighted it! We ate it after, went to restaurant. There was Japanese foods restaurant. The dishes were delicious. We spent fun times there. We bought ice cream and went back to dorm.

We watched Koshien. They are interested in it. They was going to travel for Kansai and Hokkaido, so they wanted to go there. We watched it for long time. First they didn't know the rules. Surprisingly, they had never watched baseball!! I told the rules for them. Then they showed for us their picutres in Chinese. The building was different in Japan a little. I had driving school's a class, so I left there PM4:00. Anyway, Happy birthday to you!!

August 17, I had a drinking party with my high school kyudo club's member. Almost friends go to outside Kumamoto. We hadn't met each other long time. They didn't change the atmosphere. Somehow I felt relief with them. Everyone also said me that thing. We talked long time about many things. One friend is a police officer. We talked about the jobs. I listened the contents, it were so hard. If I were police officer, I couldn't do it. I thought she was stronger than before. Originally, she was strong. Furthermore she was strong, I think the surrounding made her stronger. After we finished to eat, we went to photo booth. We took pictures. We enjoyed the day! We promise to hold drinking at January. I'm looking forward to meeting them again.

fun and pain again!

Yesterday, I played a catch with my friends at our hometown. We started to play it at PM6:00. We played it in twilight, and the temperature was cool. The wind was good.
The day before yesterday we played a catch. Then I got a blister with a finger, and it wasn't healed. I forgot to protect the finger. I thought there was no problem, so I threw ball without band aid. First, I didn't feel the pain, but finally, the blister had broken. Then I felt the pain whenever I threw the ball. We continued to play a catch for an hour. After we finished did it, we ran around the sports ground. I hadn't run long time. It was so tired for me. I felt my legs were heavy, I was sure that I had muscle pains tomorrow. This morning I didn't have muscle pains. I was happy, because it shows that my body is young!

My favorite movie is Princess Mononoke. It is written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. The content is very difficult. When I was 7 years old, my father bought the video. I remember the weird. There are many monster, it is called Mononoke by everyone. The Mononoke was weird for the 7 years old. They are wolf, boar and etc, but the size are very big! They are bigger than human, but I feel realistic the movie. I think the movie imply enviroment problem. One woman destroy forest to develop her town, so mononoke get angry with that. Now this thing happens all over the world. Because of it, global warming is a big problem for earth. It is reason why I like Prinncess Mononoke. The movie tell us about human's greed and ugly. I think people wants to many things. The result is today's global warming. But if we didn't do that, today's high technology is not in this world. Living together is needing today's world.

My favorite sport to watch

My favorite sport to watch is baseball! I think baseball is the most exciting game. I have watched baseball at Fukuoka dome two times. I went to there about 14 years ago, so the dorm's name is Fukuoka dome. Now the name is Yahoo! dome. I remember the game was so excited. I often watch baseball game at TV. I like "Giants", so I watch the team's game. Their throwing ball is very fast. Generally, our throwing speed is 100 km/h, but professional player's throwing speed is 140-150km/h. This is general speed among professional player. I'm sure that if I watch baseball game at dorm, I'm more excited! I want to go dome to watch the game during I am student. I like pitcher Darvish, his belonging team is "Nihon-ham". If I watch the game, I go to inter league play Giants vs Nihon-ham. Every summer, there is a Koshien games. The game is high school student's national convention of baseball. I often watched it. Kyushu-gakuin participated the games. So this years koshien was more excited! And I thought I really like baseball again.

My favorite club is kyudo. I had played kyudo for 6 yaers. When I was a junoir high school student, I started to play it. In my junior high school's kyudo club is strong. There are a lot of honorable certificates and trophies. My elder students who were my senior two years, they ranked first at a national convention. We also could go a national convention. We ranked fifth. In addition, we got a great prize which was the form was most beautiful in the convention. I also belonged to kyudo club when I was a high school student. I couldn't participate actively in high school age, but kyudo is a favorite sports for me. When I entered in this university, I was thinking about to join kyudo club. My friend join the club who is same high school the club. So I took time thinking about the club, but I didn't join it. If I really want to do it, I can play in my hometown, so I decided not to join it.

My favorite season is summer, because the season is not cold. I can wear light clothes. I like air conditioner's and fan's wind . It makes me happy. Especially, when I take bath after, the breeze from an electric fan makes so good. In adittion, we can play sports more actively. I play a catch with my friends in school. I think summer is sports season. On the contrary, I don't like winter, because the season is uncomfortable for me to spend in my daily. In addition, the season makes me shiver. Instead of it, when I feel hot, I can use uchiwa in summer. In fact, I like the season's atmospher, and I can wear many kinds of clothes. I like summer season's smell. I think the season's smell is grass. When I find the smell at first, I can find that there is coming summer. It is happy moment for me.

Today, I went to my friend's house to play a catch. I arrived his house at PM2:00. The weather looked like start raining, so we decided to go sports park at soon. It was first time to play a catch in this summer vacation. We took time to stretch. Then we started to play a catch! We played a catch for about 2 hours. I got a blister with a finger. It is small, but painful. Can you see it? I don't know the reason why I got it. For the weather, we could play it comfortable. We went to come back friend's house. I felt very sleepy, but I controled myself not to sleep. If I sleep at that time, I would have headache, but I enjoyed to play it!

Driving school life

Finally, I entered driving school last month. In fact, I wanted to enter driving school last year, because I was so free. I thought that I could spend useful time there. But, it was wrong. I have hard time there. I drive a stick shift car. It is so difficult for me to operate. Actually, I have moped which is stick shift, but the operation is different. First, timing to change the gear is difficult. Moped has gearshift at left lever, so I can operate with my hand. But car has it at under, I have to operate it with my foot. I was looking forward to drive the car, but now I can't enjoy to drive. I want to graduate this school as soon as possible.

My friend who is Kansai university student came back in my hometown last month. He entered university in this year. We have known each other for 14 years. We were same prime, junior, and high school. He is my good friend. He had stayed hometown for a week. We hadn't met long time, so I was grad to meet him. We went to karaoke and sang for 7 hours. Then, my friends and I went to Izakaya. It was "Welcome back drinking party". There is seafood shop. The food was delicious, we spirited the cost. We ate too much, but we could spend good time.

at my piano school

I went to my piano school to help my teacher. She had plan to make Baumkuchen, curry and playing ghost game with her students. They are primary school student, so I went to there to help. First, we played telephone games. They are small, so it was difficult for them to tell a word. But they did it. After that, we started to cook curry and Baumkuchen. I cooked Baumkuchen with students. To cook it, we needed to spread the crust to a stick again and again. We burned it on the fire, so we were tired, because of it, they fall it on sand. The crust's color was black, but their motivate was high. They could cooked it very well. Then we ate curry and Baumkuchen. It was good! Finally, we started playing ghost game. The time was PM7:00. There was dark. We held it at shrine, the atmospher was so good!! I acted ghost, there was crying children. I felt achievement. I could enjoy the day.

my summer vacation has started

After I finished my tests, I had a drinking party with my friends. It held at my friend's house. It was "otsukaresama" drinking party, but I had a part time job from PM4:00. I finished at PM11:00, so I arrived his house at AM12:00. They started to drink at PM9:00. When I arrived friend's house, one was sleeping. Other friends seemed to tired, so we started to drink again. I was so happy, because I hadn't drunk long time to study and then we played card games. The game was so excited! We hit our hands each other. Because of it I didn't feel sleepy. Then we left there at morning. I had a good time with them. I want to drink with them again!
