Dear Host Family
My name is Daisuke. I’m 19 years old, and a university student in Kumamoto prefecture. I like to play piano, so if there is a piano, I want to do it everyday. I’m not good at cooking, but I will help you with your cooking. This is the first time to stay with a host family, and to go abroad, so I’m looking forward to staying with you. I’m also nervous, because I’m afraid that can I make myself understood in English, but it’s important for me to develop skills in my English.


I want to speak English more fluently. That’s why I decide to go here. Have you ever accepted foreign students in your home? If you’ve done it, please tell me about them. How many members do you have in your family? Are there boys and girls who are close my age? Are there any other abroad students? I want to know these things.


I’ll stay 6 weeks with you. This is a short time to stay with you, so I want to get along with you. I want to go to sightseeing as much as possible. Where do you recommend the place? I’ll visit there.


I know there are some different customs, so please tell me the different things. I have to know to be used to stay in your home. I must feel their difference between our culture and your culture. To know these things, my knowledge will be better. I’ll be puzzled what to do in your home first, but please teach me how to live in there and their difference of culture. These things make me better. I’m looking forward to meet you.
